New Moon

The New Moon is in total shadow. It is practically invisible to the naked eye.

What is left in the unseen, the unexplored, the possiblities.

New Moon

What to focus on:

The New Moon is the time for new beginnings. It is the perfect time to plant the ideas for what you want to create in the month and years to come. It is the perfect time for creating an intention focused around bringing in the new, perhaps a new way of stepping forwards. It is also the space in the cycle of breath where we pause, having let go of our last breath, and making way to breath again.

You don't have to know what it is that you want to create, or want to bring in, but use the couple of days before, during and after the New Moon to open up to what is present for you, what feels right for you, even if it is just a feeling. This is just the time to open up to what is present, not necessarily the time for action, check in with yourself to see whether you are creating the need for action or whether it is inspired action.

The New Moon is a dreaming space, a space for allowing what is possible to stir, for inspiration to come into being, into presence, into body.

Exercise:
10 minutes. Set a timer if needed.

Sit in silence, use a blindfold or somewhere dark, go in with the intention of 'what should I allow in that is new and needed right now?' then let go and sink into the space of conscious awareness, let go of your attachment and the idea of your thoughts being you, instead just witness them, allow them to just be, and settle into the space of presence and awareness. Focus on your breath, and imagine breathing in the inspiration of an intention to take forwards, don't try and interpret what comes, just witness it. Come back taking a couple of nice grounding breaths, and write down any information, experiences that you encountered, then you can interpret where needed.
